Two to three weeks should be allowed for receipt of the invitations and another two weeks for addressing, stamping, and mailing. Response cards should be dated for receipt three weeks prior. For example, if the affair is June 30, the the response cards should read "to be returned no later than June 9." Envelopes should be hand cancelled at the Post Office. If a woman is married and a doctor use Dr. Mary and Mr. John Smith. If both are doctors use Drs. Smith, or The Drs. John and Mary Smith. The only abbreviations permissable are Mr., Mrs.,Ms.,Dr.,Jr., and Esq. Names of cities and state must be spelled out in full and all zip codes should be used.
